I think sometimes it’s easy to “forget” about the importance of older siblings in all the excitement of babies & toddlers. It’s easier to send the older ones off to play video games or play with friends. I’ve tried this year to make a bigger effort in making my older step-children feel as if they have ample amounts of our love & time. I got our oldest daughter this “Big Sister” ornament to remind her of her special place in our family. It’s neat what you can find on sites that are geared towards personalized baby gifts. The owner must have an older child too that needs to feel special at times.
