Womb Mates!

Posted in baby clothes on March 4th, 2010 by Monica – Be the first to comment

Here’s a clever gift for someone expecting twins. This set of two 100% organic cotton onesies is perfect for twins of either sex. I love the orange color, and the “womb mates” is both cute and silly. It is available in either 3-6 or 6-12 month sizes and retails for $60. You can purchase the set at PolkaDotPatch.

Naartjie for Children’s Clothes

Posted in Naartjie, baby clothes, kids clothes on February 13th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

One of the great things about Naartjie’s childrens clothing is that you can find several items in both “little” and “big” sizes. You can match them to a tee! No more hunting for matching outfits when family picture time rolls around.

Too Young to Be Hip

Posted in Naartjie, baby clothes, kids clothes on February 4th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

With celeb infants sporting latest trends in childrens clothing, it’s hard not to follow suit with our own children. But when I look at my youngers, especially at feeding time, I really have second thought about slapping a $100 shirt on my baby. I mean lets be reasonable here. Children are messy, I don’t care how you try to down play it. Even if you follow you kids around with wet wipes, you are going to miss a spot eventually. I have a hard time spending a ton on my own clothes, let alone putting my 18 month old in Gucci!

Swimsuits and Sunglasses

Posted in Accessories, baby clothes on January 28th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

Spring/Summer will be here before we know it. I’ve noticed that stores have started to transition from toboggans to sunglasses and from sweaters to swimsuits. It’s crazy to think that here it is at the end of January and people have already planned their summer vacations. I grabbed a few suits last year on the clearance racks so now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that they will fit by the time the warm weather rolls around.

Jeans, Jeans, and more Jeans

Posted in baby clothes, kids clothes on January 25th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

Where do you shop for jeans for your kids? My sister and I tend to frequent Old Navy & Children’s Place for one major reason: their adjustable waist jeans. This has got to be one of the smartest decision made when it comes to children’s clothing and was most assuredly thought up by a Mom. No doubt in my mind.  Even my 12 yr old step-son likes them because he’s tall and lean. So what do you think?

Anorak Jacket

Posted in baby clothes on January 24th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

I found this jacket on OldNavy.com this week under Deals of The Week.  It’s been marked down to $19.50 from it’s normal price of $24.50. If you have any coupons or discount codes, this might be a good time to snatch this up. It’s cute, but I think I’m going to have to pass for now. I just thought I’d pass this along for anyone else who might be interested

How much is too much?

Posted in Naartjie, baby clothes on January 21st, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

I’ve been thinking lately. How much clothing is too much? Do you save your baby clothes in case you have another child or do you purge them after they’ve outgrown them.  These are all things to think about.  I’ve met ladies who have rubbermaid tubs filled with baby clothes that are stuffed in the attic. I tend to lean more towards selling clothes that I have, either through consignment or online such as E-Bay. I also shop the same way if I find great deals. We have some awesome consignment stores here that don’t just accept anything. I’ve picked up a few pairs of denim shorts for $.50 a pair before!!

It’s not unusual for children to have more clothes than there parents and my home is no exception. I think my 11 yr old step-son has enough jeans to last 2 weeks if I didn’t do laundry. My hubby and I have 3 pairs each. Crazyness!

Personalized Diaper Cover

Posted in Personalized, baby clothes on January 14th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

Lets all be honest here. I’m not the only one who is a sucker for personalized baby gifts like this diaper cover. It calls your name, you know it does. You want to find a baby that’s wearing one & just scoop them right up.  There’s a magic about these and I wish it would stop calling my name.  I find it difficult to convince an 11 yr old that she should put one on to appease me and make me think about her infant years!

MamaBargins.com

Posted in Accessories, baby clothes, baby gifts on January 9th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

A fellow blogger of mine introduced me to mamabargains.com, a Web site that offers a variety of unpredictable deals. The site works differently than most retail sites. Only one deal is offered at a time and until it sells out. Items sell for 50-80% off of original retail. You must log in several times a day to see all of the offerings, which can make it either fun or frustrating, depending on how you look at it. So far, I haven’t seen any deals that I can’t live without, but I now know others who are hooked. You can check out the deals at mamabargains.com. If you have time to check out daily deals then this is the site for you.
