We just thought this was a fun and cute gift to get for my son.It’s stylish and he looks so darn cute in it!It keeps the sun out of his face and yet doesn’t get to hot when he is wearing it either.

Fancy dress for Boxing Day 2010
November 23rd, 2010 Jenn Having stumbled upon a recent article titled (something along the lines of) “A fancy dress swim on Boxing Day”; thinking about Christmas, the New Year and Boxing day in particular, I couldn’t believe how much synergy is present between Christmas, the New Year and Boxing day and fancy dress.
So I typed into a UK search engine “boxing day fancy dress” and over 185 thousand results were available!
This prompted me to think about the need to start making my celebrations more memorable with the incorporation of both adult and children’s fancy dress. When was the last time you went to a fancy dress occasion with the family and didn’t have a fantastic time?
So, how do you go about selecting the right fancy dress costume for a Boxing Day event? You could follow the well-trodden path of Ball Gowns and Party Dresses, nativity clothing or even historical figures but I like to think that Boxing Day allows you to step outside of the norm and go the extra mile.
How about trying out some TV & Movie Fancy Dress…
You could take on the look of Edward Scissorhands™, act out your X-Men themed outfit with a Deluxe Vinyl Wolverine Mask or take over the empire in a Star Wars™ – Stormtrooper costume – the opportunities are almost endless.
In an attempt to complete this fancy dress story telling journey there are those who do (to my surprise) swim every Boxing Day in fancy dress outfits in the sea!!! In fact, it has become one of the large charity events that can be seen from Edinburgh to Cornwall, Hampshire to the IOW. If you are looking to burn off some of the Christmas indulgences then perhaps this is for you, however I’m going to stick to the classic adult fancy dress this year.

I found these cutest horsey pants for my friends little baby boy.It also came with a onsie and a little hat,but I especially thought these pants were just so cute.I can’t wait for the little guy to wear them and see how cute he looks!They are so soft and they are also organic which is what my friend wanted for her baby only.I love these pants and so does she.

I have a friends baby shower coming up and what better gift to get her than a personalized baby gift. I fell in love with this cute baby boy velour suit. Yay for another girl
April 5th, 2010 Monica One of my friends just found out that she is having a baby girl for her first. How much fun is that?? Yes, I have a penchant for baby girls, but they grow up into teenagers at which point I do not really believe that one sex is superior over the other. With girls you have to plan for future weddings and frilly wedding favors. Boys are more likely to don a lab coat and make secret explosives in the backyard.
Either way, I’m happy for her. A child a blessing and a wonderful addition to the family.

April 4th, 2010 Monica I really highly suggest getting a massage in Huntington Beach. There are some FABULOUS places to go and it is oh-so relaxing. Sometimes when I am having a bad day, I’ll drift back to my AWESOME massage/spa day and it makes things all better until I open my eyes again. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Think of all the times you’ve driven the mom taxi and car-pooled until you were blue in the face. Treat yourself!!!
Momma Shopping
April 1st, 2010 Monica Do you find it hard to spend money on yourself instead of the kids?? I made myself not looking online for stuff the kids today, but today I found a great site when I was searching ‘women’s personalized jewelry.’ I would love to have one of the really cute personalized necklaces that look they are hand-stamped and have a birthstone in them. Then I had a hard time trying to pick one out. So I ended up trying to find some new work scrubs for my hubby (again, not myself) and ended up ordering him a new lab coat. I guess I’ll try again another day. I’m thinking about looking for a new pair of shoes when I decide what I want.

We just recently watched an episode of Cake Boss where they did a cake for the Sesame Street anniversary and, of course, Cookie took center stage. It’s a new year
January 2nd, 2010 admin A new year that brings new clothes, new toys, new fads, and hopefully a few new things for mom. *Sigh* Most of you are probably like me and you have a hard time buying for yourself when you could spend it on the kids. But I’ve made the first step towards making this year better for my family and that was by opening a Christmas Club savings account at our bank. I *dislike* the holiday season because we always go way over our budget and then I’m squeezing pennies together to make ends meet. With a Christmas Club account, you put money in, but you can have it until Nov 1, which is perfect for us. I’ve vowed to put $40 a month in ours (at minimum) and I made our first deposit on Thursday. I’ve had several friends that are also doing this for the first time and making next holiday season a little less
